BMW OEM style 219m off the E9x M3. My E90 is the same gray (sparking graphite) as the cars below (added 1M for awesomeness)

Kinja'd!!!

My car is identical to this besides the lip. I also don't have chrome window trim.

Kinja'd!!!

I like them, especially with meaty tires. Do you guys find them too aggressive for an otherwise stock car?

Kinja'd!!!

I'll likely end up lowering the car about 1.5" all around, I could use a new spring/shock combo soon. I thought about coilovers, especially with how nice KW street-comforts are, but they're overkill IMHO.

Kinja'd!!!

Sparkling graphite looks great when clean, it's hiding its purple flake.

Kinja'd!!!

Dat concave!! I'm still debating whether or not I want to run a staggered 18x8.5/9.5 with an aggressive offset, or if I just want a square set of the 8.5" which guarantees trouble free fitment. Ideally I'd rather not have to run spacers or roll my fenders, which makes the square set more desirable.

Kinja'd!!!

Wagon love!!

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

That 1M I promised..

DAT 1M with those wheels is sex.

Also, what's the smallest Diameter you can fit on the E90?

What are the lightest wheels in that diameter that fit the E90?

Buy those wheels. Less weight = faster, and smaller wheels/more tire meat usually looks much better.

I remember that a local BMW Dealership had the BMW Performance Brakes, with discs, for like 600 USD. Wished I would've bought them. Overkill for a 120i.

These will be lighter than the 16x7 I'm running on now for the winter. The 9.5" isn't the problem, the offset which is better suited for an M3 is. The wheel doesn't poke but you have to run an ever so slightly less wide tire on the rear if you plan on lowering the car.

I could always get a set of Apex ARC 8's in 18x9.5 at about 18lbs. each, these are a little easier to source being an OEM wheel.

I've thought about going that route (or HRE's) but the potholes around here are brutal in the winter

Yup, I personally wouldn't get anything too special because potholes. But as summer wheels, HRE's would be nice.

holy hell is that a bargain. I might pick up a used BBK soon just because of how cheap some of them are going for. Overkill? Maybe, but braking isn't really something I'd mind having too much of.

I've thought about it. Maybe... Just as a set of summers though.

The M219s look great on Sparkling Graphite. :)

Kinja'd!!!

I would look at some Apex Arc-8, maybe in a 17". If you're going it lower they don't look half bad. If you can wait, best deal is to get in on a group buy.

Too much brakes is only bad when you have not enough tire. If you up the brakes then you should make sure you keep good and appropriate footwear shod on the car. Trust me, the ability to stop is not just in the brakes. . . It really all begins with the tires.

I mentioned the arc-8's to another commenter. I love em! I just missed my chance to get free shipping and $100 for Black Friday. They do look great on lowered 17's. Cheaper and lighter than the 18's too! It's definitely a tough decision..

I know, I run tires with a high grip level in dry and wet. Frankly the stock brakes are more than adequate, my only complaint is the infamous bmw brake dust, which can be remedied by changing to a different pad.

when I finally bite the bullet on track wheels for my E90 (other than square M219s) the 17x10 ARc-8s are at the top of my list.

Good luck with the decision! Can't lose either way you go.

Yeah, that dust is terrible and it doesn't clean easily. I've heard waxing the wheels works pretty well to keep the dust from sticking but that only works if you don't get everything too hot. My mom and sister drive Mini's and they have that same problem. Good luck on finding the pad that works for you, god that sounds bad. . . .

they definitely are the way to go for a do-it-all wheel. The pricing is too good to ignore! What color do you plan on going with? Sparkling graphite looks great with most colors IMHO.

That it does. I would do the anthracite or flat black. I can use that setup in my E90M or my E46M or the E36M when I do flares with 275/40-17. Truly the Swiss-army knife of setups.
